Mission Statement

Responsibilities of the Creator

Through discussion, the following guiding responsibilities were agreed upon to assist the organization developing a shared responsibility.

As members of Keyanow Child and Family Centre, we all have the responsibility to live a Nehiyaw life as sacredly given to us by the Creator - always recognizing the consequences of our actions.

• To respect the sacredness of Mother Earth
• To respect the sacredness of our Nehiyaw teachings
• To respect the sacredness of spiritual people, Elders and knowledge keepers
• To respect the sacredness of the partnership with your spouse
• To respect the sacredness of women
• To respect the sacredness of the child raising
• To respect the sacredness of grandchildren
• To respect the sacredness of leadership

Keyanow Child and Family Centre VISION

Our families must strive to fulfill the responsibilities given to us by the creator with respect to our home fires, Nehiyaw family structure and child raising as expected in our Cree tradition.

Our team will commit to the responsibilities given to us by the Creator by providing services that keep the CHILD and FAMILY together in our home fires through our Nehiyaw teachings.
