On Call Casual Aide/Transporter

On Call Casual Aide/Transporter:  Will provide a variety of non-delegated services/functions to assist the Family Services Child Protection Unit.  Employment will be on an on-call basis, as required, to meet short-term unforeseen and urgent operational needs of the agency.  Will provide a variety of services in support of case management duties for children and their biological parents, provision of assistance that is supportive, educative and empowering to families involved with child welfare services and/or child in care clients.  Will undertake a variety of social service support responsibilities that are complementary to the role of the social worker.  Services include, but are not limited to, supervising visitation between children, siblings, and biological parents, home visits, transportation to specialists, and concrete services such as the purchase of food, clothing, etc.

 

The successful candidate will have a diploma or certificate in Social /Work, Mental Health and Wellness, Addictions and Community Service, Child and Youth Care, or a related field of Human/Social Services.  Minimum requirement:  complete grade 12 education.

SCHEDULE: The main office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm however, schedules will vary dependent upon work location.

WORK LOCATION: primary locations include main office in North Battleford, Little Pine, and Poundmaker Outreach, and travel to Lucky Man Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert and other areas where we have children in care.

 

SALARY:  Competitive salaries; determined upon Education and Experience
